I typically shy away from shooting at farms or themed places or with props. I find it more stressful, having to work with certain dates and times and booking and then competing for a spot, or "the spot" with the best backdrop or lighting. So when my friend asked if there was a sunflower farm around, I was soooo hesitant. Truth be told I was not excited about it.

Well, wouldn't you know how wrong I was. First of all, the farm I found was absolutely gorgeous and the owners are the sweetest family and so thoughtful when it comes to photographers and how they set up and operate. The experience was completely different then I had imagined it would go, and so much better than some fellow photographers experiences at other sunflower fields that I've heard about. I am so, so glad that my friend pushed me outside my comfort zone because this session is definitely one of my top favorite sessions ever.

These girls just shined in this field and I'm so glad to have been able to capture these for mom. Ella turned 10 and she wanted something really special to capture this milestone and I think we achieved that! It's been so much fun capturing these girls growing up over the years and the camera just absolutely loves them!
