The beach, the light, and one of my favorite families? This session was everything I hoped for and more. The Ruiz family never disappoints—they're so full of love, connection, and joy, and it shines through in every single photo.


This session kicked off my first round of summer Simple Beach Sessions, and it was the perfect way to start the season. I’ve photographed the Ruiz family before, and every time I get them in front of my camera, it’s a treat. Mom is a fellow photographer, so not only does she come dressed so well (seriously, they nailed the wardrobe), but their whole family just has this beautiful ease together that makes photographing them feel effortless.


We had a golden evening at the shore, with that dreamy mix of glowy light and ocean breeze that makes beach sessions so magical. I left feeling extra grateful—and totally inspired to do more!
